Flinders Quartet performs two world premieres alongside two of the great quartet composers. Nardi Simpson’s new Listen to the Land commission brings her deep listening to Country into dialogue with Haydn’s beloved “The Bird” quartet, while the unveiling of Melody Eötvös’s first work in The Eötvös Cycle - a triptych to be written for Flinders Quartet over five years - sits alongside Brahms’s intense and searching A minor quartet.
